Although, I feel like we skipped straight over it this year - with the wedding and the honeymoon taking up almost all of October I barely got any of my fall decor out! I’d been eyeing this console table for nearly a year since I sold the bench we had in the entry and I knew I wanted something taller here. Lucky for me it was on sale online and we had some registry gift cards so I was able to go do a little Target haul to finish off some of the bare corners left in the house. I think this may be my favorite corner so far!
I had purchased the woven wall pieces about a year ago and, in true Kristin fashion, over-thunk (anything is a word if we hyphenate, right?) it forever trying to find the right table and accessories to go with before actually hanging them. They sat on the wall in random spots using existing nails from the mirror that hung before them with tags dangling and everything for quite awhile and then the wedding just took over and I stopped noticing.
Finally, I snagged the console table for a killer deal and just went for it. Sometimes I get so much anxiety over an idea that I end up doing nothing at all so I often need to force myself to just do it and not turn back. I’m a planner at heart and will literally sketch out every idea, make lists, measure twice, hunt for the best deals, and ponder every possibility while letting things sit in the virtual cart in my head for weeks before pulling the trigger. Does it allow me to decorate or fill my closet on a budget sometimes? Sure. Help with the anxiety? Eh, jury’s out. But here we are!
Anyway, glad I found this perfect magazine holder, too. “Shopped” our home for the little cutting boards, greenery, and the metal basket full of pillows and voila! Also - I may or may not have an obsession with black metal at the moment. Sue me.

I found the wall baskets on clearance awhile back but there are
some fun similar options here, here, and here!
When you’re hunting, think flat woven bowls, low serving trays, textured charger plates - anything you can find that can be easily tacked to the wall!
