TREND TALK: HAIR ACCESSORIES
Can we just talk about how excited I am that hair clips are having a moment again?! And hair scarves, and scrunchies, and bows! One of my favorite 90’s trends that’s actually wearable and super cute. I just ordered a few newbies for spring and can’t wait to play around with them.
I love all of the leopard pieces in fun retro shapes, but you also can’t go wrong with simple embellished bobby pins tucked into the side of your hair right above the ear.
One of my goals this year is to simplify my wardrobe with classic, basic pieces and then stock up on fun accessories, coats, and bags to add interest. This has also led to a massive closet purge! I’m working on getting everything that’s worth selling up onto Poshmark - and we’re talking an everything-must-go situation - so find me on the app @kmichelleyy to shop some pieces at crazy deals!
In the meantime, I’ve been scouring the internet for things I want to invest in that I’ll actually enjoy wearing more than once. I think this hair clip trend is here to stay for awhile so I’ve rounded up some of my favorites for you guys! Best part is, all of these accessories are super affordable so you won’t feel guilty giving into a trend.

Fun fact: I used to make my own hair clips and barrettes back in high school/early college days. I even made my friends come over and model for me so I could sell them on my super cool “business” Facebook page. LOL Maybe I’ll resurface some photos for you guys…I may even have some pieces hiding somewhere still!
