LET'S PLAY A GAME!
How the heck are ya? I mean, we’re in the middle of a quarantine right now. So the answer is probably…not great. I don’t mean to make light of the situation, but I want my blog and my Instagram page to be a place you can come to for a little distraction! SO that’s what we’re going to do this next week - distract ourselves with some pretty home decor!
I’m sure this extra time at home has had us all staring at a wall at some point trying to ease the boredom/stress/anxiety with a little daydream. Personally, whenever I’ve got down time, I like to think of what house project I want to tackle next. Decorate the guest bedroom, wallpaper the powder room, shiplap in the den, etc. I’m always posting my design boards on Instagram and you guys seem to love when I share my process!
I thought it would be fun to play a little game while we’re all at home spending tons of extra time on social media. I came up with the #DESIGNAROOMCHALLENGE for Instagram stories. I’ve already picked an anchor piece for the design - a green upholstered bed frame. Each day, everyone will vote on their favorite piece from each category until we come up with one complete room design by majority vote. I’ll also be putting together my own room out of the same options so we can compare designs at the end! You guys voted to see me design a master bedroom, so I figured this could be a fun way to see what you would come up with on your own, too!
There’s a sneak peak at your anchor piece if you want to start brainstorming! I’ll be posting shopable links and recapping this whole thing in a blog post next Saturday! My hope is to inspire you guys to dive in to the deep dark corners of the internet and scour around til you find the perfect thing for your next room refresh. Trust me, it’s out there! And you are totally capable of putting together something rad (and on budget)! This will be a fun jumpstart to get those creative juices flowing.
