SUNDAY SEVEN 02.28.2021

Whoa - two weeks in a row with the new Sunday Seven segment…am I a real blogger now?! Don’t answer that…

AnYwAyS. This past week was full of lots of online browsing for nursery items, measuring and designing the wall treatment I plan to do in there, registry building, anddd bill paying LOL anyone else’s property taxes just totally skyrocket this year?! That’s one unexpected expense we could certainly do without but such is life - and adulting. I also discovered sour candies might be my new favorite food group AND we got to see baby girl at another ultrasound on Friday! She is definitely bulking up in there and was playing with her hands near her face the whole time. It’s seriously the cutest. We got to hear the heartbeat for the first time as well - seems weird that we haven’t up until this point but I think typically they do it at “normal” visits and all of our appointments thus far have included an ultrasound so we’ve only seen it beating on the screen! She sounded perfect and somewhere in the 150 range :) Now that they’ve confirmed a few things, all is looking great but we’ll be back on the typical schedule and probably won’t have another scan until we are closer to the end. I’ve gotten so used to seeing her every 4 weeks that I’m not looking forward to the wait - we have definitely been spoiled getting to see her so much!

Now, this week’s round up is a little random - but all good things!

This Week’s Sunday Seven

// 1. Rugs USA Ivory Double Striped Flatweave Rug-- $113-335
Came across this rug while on the hunt for neutral nursery stuff and just fell in love with it! So simple - would be perfect layered on top of another textured neutral. I also love how lightweight it is, almost like a towel which I find intriguing. Would work in a variety of spaces but I’m thinking playroom or a little boy’s room!

// 2. Target Maybelline LashSenstional Sky High Mascara -- $9
Alright - all the TikTok kids have been raving about this mascara for weeks LOL it’s sold out literally everywhere in store and apparently some type of miracle worker?! I found it online though so I might order it to try when my current tube runs out. Anyone tried it yet?

// 3. Trader Joe’s Scandansvian Swimmers (Sour) -- $3
No link here LOL and I’m sure I’ve been living under a rock but I tried these for the first time last Friday and went thru a whole bag way faster than I’m willing to admit! Sour candy has been one of my random cravings and not something I would typically buy/keep in the house but I’m glad I tried these! Bonus points for being made with less bad-for-you stuff (as far as I can tell!) I was talking about them on IG and was ready to drop $17 on a bag via Amazon Prime just to avoid going back to TJ’s LOL but my aunt heard my cries and brought two bags of the regular version to my office the next day :) Happy to report that even if you don’t like sour candies, the regular ones are just as good! (way better than Swedish Fish!)

// 4. Amazon Heart Shaped Sunglasses-- $12
Spring is finally within reach and I can’t wait for sunny weather. I bought these cute little sunglasses last summer and they are still my favorite! I have my eye on the black pair now - can’t beat the price for a fun extra pair to toss in your bag!

// 5. Aerie Ribbed Seamless Bikini Underwear-- 5 for $25
Maybe it’s the growing prego belly/booty combo that has me on the hunt for more comfy undies (…definitely, not maybe!) BUT we could all use a few good pairs to sleep in! Nothing worse than tight undies after a long day, amiright?! I love these because they are so thin and lightweight it truly feels like you’re wearing nothing. I like the bikini cut - comfortable but still flattering and not total grannies :) They also come in a boy brief which has a bit more coverage and of course a thong!

// 6. Isle Of Paradise Isle Of Paradise Super Size Self Tanning Butter -- $28
This best selling tanning butter is back in stock! I have yet to try this BUT, rumor has it, when used in conjunction with my favorite ever tan drops, it gives you the best hydrated glow. I’ve used the drops for a couple years now and honestly can’t rave about them enough. You mix in a few drops with a pump of your body lotion (per limb) and rub it in just like you would any lotion - it’s pretty fool proof and I have yet to really mess it up or get any crazy streaks or missed spots that can’t be evened out the next day with another application. Not to mention, color develops pretty dang fast and even one day gives me a good boost. In the summer I’ll use them 2-3 times per week to keep up my tan! I always use the Dark color and I like it the best - Medium gives me great color too but it’s slightly more orange on me for whatever reason. OKAY back to the butter - mix it with the drops and it’s a game changer apparently. Use code OFFER and a new email for $10 off :)

// 7. Target Round Decorative Wall Mirror (Brass) -- $80
Actually pretty surprised this mirror is still available to order online! Part of a recent Threshold with Studio McGee drop, this mirror is a generous 34” round which is pretty good for the price. I’m planning to put this one in baby girl’s nursery - love the brass :) Don’t forget your Red Card for 5% off!

We had a successful (long) day of building IKEA furniture yesterday and hope to finish today. Then I’m taking full advantage of a lazy Sunday over here - pancake breakfast and all!

Happy Sunday!

xoxo,
KZ
